Abstract
Game of Whist with Smart Playing Cards: Feedback Program (S)Status: Abgeschlossen
Everybody has played a card game at least once in a lifetime and knows that being a good player needs a lot of practice. A beginner often does not know whether the card he played was the best one or not. A feedback of a good player after each move would speed up the learning process essentially. Whereby a role of such a game expert can also be played by a suitable computer programm.
In our system the played cards are marked by RFID tags, which allows to observe the game state continuously. A decision tree based move rating is impelented to provide an appropriate feedback. Ratings and game results for each player can be displayed on a personal PDA, which communicates wirelessly with a computer that monitors the game.
