Abstract
Semantic Web for enhanced autonomy in sensor networks (M)Status: Abgeschlossen
The goal of this project is to investigate, develop, and prototype solutions for the usage of semantic web in the context of Web Services and mobile devices. The goal is provide a system that allows to define capabilities of embedded mobile devices (sensors, actuators, parameters), which can be useful to automatically combine low-level services to design adaptive and dynamic high-level applications.
GOALS
Investigate and evaluate different approaches for semantic technologies (microformats, OWL, SWS, RDF) with an emphasis for physical comuting devices
Propose a simple system for semantic physical devices to specify interaction between devices in a dynamic context (devices with different capabilities continously appear and disappear)
Develop a demonstrator of different devices/services to show how devices can interact based on semantic data
