PhD Positions

We are always looking for highly qualified graduates who are interested in pursuing a PhD in the field of Pervasive Computing (e.g., Internet of Things, smart energy, sensor networks, mobile computing, and related domains). Our group offers full positions as research assistants in a unique environment with excellent facilities. Besides their research, research assistants are engaged in teaching and industry collaborations. For more details about our activities, please have a look at our research projects.

Prospective PhD students should:

  • show initiative and ambition for their work
  • be highly qualified with a strong background in computer science (electrical engineering and other related fields are also welcome)
  • have good programming skills in multiple languages
  • be creative and experienced in (distributed) system design
  • enjoy working collaboratively in a group
  • be fluent in written and spoken English (German a plus but not required)

  1. Short motivation letter describing the personal background and interests in doing research in our group
  2. CV including detailed educational and work experience, and any information relevant to the position
